MARGARET is a chart topping and award winning Classical soprano from Derry Ireland. She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a First Class Honours Degree in Music Education and a Masters Degree in Vocal performance. Since graduating Margaret’s career has continued to rise. She has been hailed as a unique find:
Her highly anticipated new album “The Gift of Music” was recently released and it topped the UK Classical and Classic FM Charts making her the first female from Ireland ever to achieve this.
She has performed extensively throughout the world and has performed with some of the world’s leading orchestras and performers. She made her debut in New York’s Carnegie Hall in December 2016 and was selected to perform for Pope Francis in a special concert for his first visit to the USA which was broadcast to an audience of 1.5million. She was subsequently invited to perform several times at the BBC Radio 2 broadcast “Christmas with the Stars” at the Royal Albert Hall and also in “Sunday Night at the London Palladium” She also performed at the annual Royal Christmas Carol Concert at St James’ Palace, London in the presence of members of the Royal family.
Following these successes Margaret has performed and toured with West End star Alfie Boe, Russell Watson, Andrea Bocelli, Paul Potts and was special guest to the multi- platinum selling The Fron Male Voice Choir in their recent tour to New York City and in their UK tour. BRENDAN is a grade 9 student with a passion for music. Brendan studies individual voice and music theory, following the Royal Conservatory program, and studies piano in order to build on his natural ability to play by ear. For several years Brendan was a member of the Victoria Childrens’ Choir and an ensemble choir, and through these experiences, performed with Liona Boyd, the Canadian Tenors and the Peninsula Singers.
Brendan has explored music theatre through the VOS teen program and has participated as a vocalist in the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival, where he was awarded Outstanding Solo and Best Performance. Brendan loves to perform, including as the regular anthem singer for the Peninsula Panthers hockey club, a recent opportunity to sing the anthem for the Victoria Royals hockey club, and other public performances such as at a local winery and as an invitational performer for an annual Christmas musical production.
Danielle Greschner is a versa
Danielle Greschner is a versatile performer and teacher with more years of experience than she cares to admit. Her passion for the performing arts began in her youth when she took piano, voice, and dance lessons. She was introduced to musical theater when her high school performed “Fame.” Shortly after, she attended the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music and played the role of Mrs. Paroo in “The Music Man.”
Danielle has since gone on to attain a Bachelor of Applied Music in classical voice from Vancouver Community College. While studying music, she had the opportunity to sing in several solo recitals and choral ensembles. She played Belinda in VCC’s production of the opera “Dido and Aeneas,” and sang as a soprano soloist with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra. As a member of the Pacifica Singers, Danielle sang alongside the Vancouver Chamber Choir and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, she has sung national anthems at several professional sporting events, including Vancouver Canadians Baseball and Vancouver Nighthawks Ultimate.
Danielle moved back to Victoria in 2017 to complete her teaching degree. Since then, she has performed with UVic Vocal Jazz and multiple local bands. She played the role of Mrs. Salt in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” and was part of the ensemble in “Matilda” with Four Seasons Musical Theatre. Since joining the National Stage Company of Canada in 2021, Danielle has played the role of Sylvia in “Flavia and the Dream Maker” and Cindy Savage in “Self Help.”
Pablo Diemecke is one of Canada’s finest virtuoso violinists. He appears as a soloist around the world, and has completed 20 years of service as concertmaster of the Victoria Symphony.
Mr. Diemecke showed remarkable talent at an early age. He made his first public appearance at age 10, and his childhood quartet toured the US and Mexico several times. At age 17 he made his first solo appearance with an orchestra, playing the Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto #3. He studied with Henryk Szeryng and his assistant Enrique Espin Yepez in Mexico City, receiving honours at his graduation recital. He went on to study with Robert Gerle in Washington, D.C., and Daniel Majeske in Cleveland.
Mr. Diemecke has developed an enormous repertoire of important works, featuring not only all of the major concerti and standard works for violin, but also a large number of fascinating Latin American concertos by composers such as Manuel Ponce, Carlos Chavez, Lavalle, Rodrigo, Bustos and others. Two of these Latin American concertos were premiered and dedicated to Pablo Diemecke.
Mr. Diemecke toured the Mediterranean, Europe, the British Isles, Iceland, Ireland, Greenland and Norway in 2007, playing a series of string quartet concerts in the Grand Princess Cruises’ Princess Theater, and in 2008, toured with together with the Artenostra Quartet. Mr. Diemecke participated in the opening concert of a Mozart Festival in Florida (USA).
“Every once in a while an artist makes you feel truly humbled. Margaret Keys is one of those artists. She has a voice of pure warmth and beauty.
